Examination

Assam Nursing council examination are conducted at the end of 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year on completion of the year. Pre-council exam are conducted by the School of Nursing. Students who obtain minimum 50% marks in the test will be allowed to sit for Assam Nursing council examinations. The students achievement on the class room Assignment and clinical areas should also be satisfactory enough to sit for the Nursing Council examination.

EXAMINATION GUIDELINES( as per Indian Nursing Council guidelines):

  • Shall have one regular examination followed by supplementary examination in a year
  • If a candidate fail, they can permitted to next year
  • A candidate can take any number of attempts with a condition that maximum period is 6 years. However all previous papers need to be cleared before appearing in the final examination.
  • Minimum pass mark should be 50% in each of the Theory and practical paper separately.
  • Minimump ass mark shall be 40% in English only .
  • A candidate has to pass in theory and practical exam paper separately in each of the paper If candidate fails in either theory and practical paper, hejshe has to re-appear both the papers (Theory and practical)

ELIG1BILTY FOR ADMISSION TO EXAMINATION:

A candidate shall be eligible for the admission to Sate Nursing Council / Board Examination if the Principal of the Institution Certified that

  • She / He has completed not less than eleven months of the course
  • A candidate must have minimum of 80% attendance in theory and practical in each subject for appearing the examination A Diploma shall not be awarded to the students till she/he has completed the clinical/field requirements.
  • A candidate must secure 50% in internal assessment separately in each theory and practical
  • The record of practical experience is complete.
